Medical Herbs 4 U (MH4U) Dispensary Profile

First off, there is no doubt that standing out amongst the rather stiff competition in Reseda (and surrounding areas such as Van Nuys) is difficult to accomplish;  Medical Herbs 4 U has in my opinion managed to pull off that feat sensationally, carving out a niche amongst the sea of other medical cannabis clinics and delivery services by offering expert and warm service (the staff is adept at providing strain information so the knowledge base is there), premium lab tested strains of cannabis that flex some incredible potency, and something that I was  pleased to see — legitmate, attention grabbing deals (I’ve seen certain premium strains on display for $130 an ounce, something that would have been unfathomable only a few years back). MH4U has really managed to impress me on all fronts and that’s not an exaggeration. As far as the location of Medical Herbs 4 U is concerned, the clinic is easily found  at 7122 Reseda Blvd., Suite 207 (it’s streetside which makes visibility a cinch).

Once inside, you’re greeted by a small but inviting reception area complete with glossy wood flooring, vibrantly painted walls and trimming(consisting of brilliant oranges, blues, and neon greens), and opposing black couches. Check-in (and registration for first time patients) is painless; entry into the vaunted medicine room is quick and easy, and once inside the layout retains the same clean, colorful motif with a variety of bubblers, steamrollers, and other glassware, rolling papers and accessories, along with a mounted flatscreen tv, a table, and some more couches. The marijuana itself is the most important part of course; the current menu and rotating deals are posted on a small blackboard behind the display case.

As I mentioned before, premium strains abound, they’re lab tested, and donations are capped at $45 an eighth, although some of the deals can be eye-poppingly greater than the already great value at hand; pretty amazing all things considered.  As far as the various strains of marijuana that I’ve had the pleasure of donating for at MH4U, my favorite is the Banana OG.  This bud is massive in scope, crushing almost all comers on all fronts. First off the smell and flavor is off the charts incredible, no hesitation in my proclamation.  Banana and floral notes dominate, with smooth tropical apricot and mango notes that hit after; slight hints of citrus and pine are also present. Visually, this thing shines; studded with shimmering, glass-like trichomes, pale yellow-orange hairs with resinous, full-bodied calyxes, it’s just superb on a visual level.  The effects are amazingly balanced, simultaneously washing over both mind and body with soothing, yet potent effects. This is definitely what I desire in a hybrid; true hybrid-like effects, balanced between the tension ease of an indica and the stimulation of a sativa (without the lag and “overstimulation”).  THC content on this lab tested strain at MH4U was listed as containing almost 24% THC. I really can’t recommend this particular strain enough, and the value pricing makes it that much better. A+.

The quality stretches over to the clinic’s sativa weighted strains, with very nice examples of mainstays and veritable classics such as Super Silver Haze and Blue Dream; while ubiquitous at most dispensaries and co-ops, the samples at MH4U rise above most other clinics that carry herb culled from the same genetics; it would seem that the patient growers actually took a bit of time and care during the cultivation process. The standout sativa is easily the Durban Poison, a landrace strain that hails from South African origins and is my estimation, the perfect daytime smoke/vape (flavorful, energy boosting, clearheaded, zero lag). The most unique aspect of this strain is the smell and taste which is honestly unlike anything else I’ve run across; spicy black licorice/fennel hits immediately and follows through with smooth lemon and orange notes and it’s rare, but there’s a cherimoya like taste as well (prominent when vaporizing of course). Cerebral, stimulating, mood boosting are the primary effects. Visually, the Durban Poison obtained at MH4U was lime green in appearance, sticky and resinous with a nice coating of trichomes, all off-set by light orange pistils. Excellent strain and as I mentioned, the clarity of the effects makes this great for daytime usage, creative and physical activities, appetite stimulation, and nausea reduction.

In addition to the supremely good Banana OG, Medical Herbs 4 U also maintains a formidable arsenal of finely grown, heavy OG’s.  The Jedi OG is to be highly cherished if on-hand as it’s a superb example of a properly grown OG cut. The Jedi is fresh tasting, properly flushed, and potent as hell. My tolerance levels are high so I love to use this all day long, but it packs a powerful punch in terms of potency (making it suitable for sleep aid, although OG’s usually aren’t my “go-to” in those situations). Citrus, dominated by buttery lemon, pine, and earth notes, with fuel on the exhale. Amazing stuff, cerebral effects quickly flow throughout the body and depending on the individuals this can quickly leave one in “couchlock” mode. This batch was structurally solid, dense buds, covered in trichs; cracking one open will quickly fill the room with the pungent odor of pure OG. The XXX OG might surpass all of them though, as this particular batch from Medical Herbs 4 U carried an extremely potent 25% THC, lab tested and verified. The look is classic OG, dense, stout, covered with crystals and fiery orange hairs. The smell and taste are in-line as well, with lemon, citrus, and pine, but a more pronounced earthiness; flavors and smell exhibit depth and complexity, yet retains a smoothness upon exhalation with no coughing. Burns to a clean white ash. Potent indica effects, extremely heavy and will induce sleep in even small doses. This one is an absolute monster, and now that I think about it, might just surpass the Banana OG as my favorite strain (but honestly, both are insanely good) at MH4U.

Other standouts that I’ve tried are the Super Bubba (perfect for sleep aid, physical pain relief, mental relaxation, great sweet, earthy taste and smell), the GDP, the Skywalker (another high THC content beast of an OG), and many more. What more can I say other than the fact that Medical Herbs 4 U has really managed to impress with some incredible strains at incredible prices. OGs are king, but the menu is peppered with rarities and curveballs, strains that I don’t see at too many places like the aforementioned Durban Poison.  The bonus is that the donation prices are the definition of reasonable ($45 cap), but the extremely generous deals (including heavily slashed ounce donation rates, BOGO’s, etc.) push things way over the top; MH4U ranks amongst my favorites easily and is a go-to spot. No hyperbole, no hype, this clinic comes highly recommended.  Well done and a prime example of how standout facilities operate.
